With profound sadness we announce the passing of Evelyn Catherine Bolster (nee Sarauer), our loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched. Evelyn was born April 17, 1941 in Humboldt, SK, and passed away peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on December 19, 2019. Evelyn is survived by and will forever be remembered by her daughters Laura and Lynn (Dale); granddaughters Meagan (Tim) and Kaitlan; great grandchildren Hunter, Garrett, Caleb, Sadie, and Hannah; sister Gloria (Ray), brothers Ronnie (Margaret) and Rodger (Lynda), as well as numerous other friends and family. She is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Arthur (Art) Bolster, and parents Casper and Helen Sarauer. Evelyn spent her early years in Anaheim, SK, before moving to Fort St. John and other parts of BC until her second marriage took her to Brownsville, Texas. After operating a successful park, the 4 Seasons RV Resort with her loving husband Art, the couple returned to Canada in 1996 to retire in Vernon where they resided happily for the past 23 years. Evelyn's beauty, kind heart and contagious laughter, her unwavering faith and strength through illness and adversity, her devotion to husband and family, and her continued support of altruistic causesâ€"leaves an indelible mark on all who knew her. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church (2607 27th Street, Vernon, BC V1T 4W1). Memorial donations may be made to the B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation (938 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver BC V5Z 4H4).
