Truus was born in the Netherlands, October 26, 1924 and passed away peacefully on February 19, 2017 in Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Truus emigrated to Canada in 1953, after a few days in Ontario, she joined her sister Truus Vaneck and family in Lavington, later calling Coldstream home for several years, Enderby and her last years in Vernon.
Truus taught Sunday School in Lavington, and was involved with the Lavington and 6th Vernon Scouts for several years. She was an avid gardener, rock collector and crafter.
Truus is survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and The Netherlands, and her best friend and companion Alice Hatton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when the tulips are blooming.
