We regret to announce the unexpected passing of our mother and grandmother, Glenda M. Danielson on February 6, 2018 at 78 years young.
Glenda was born December 6, 1939 in Kelliher, Saskatchewan. Her family moved to BC when she was 8 years old. Glenda began her profession as a hairdresser and eventually became the proud owner of Glenda's Beauty Salon in Hudson Hope, BC. When Glenda and her family moved to Vernon in 1973 she knew she had found home!
She established her 2nd career, where she enjoyed many years serving the patrons of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #25.
Family meant everything to Mom. Mom was a single-parent of not only her own children, but also provided a home for her nieces and nephews from Dease Lake so they could complete their education... something she very much treasured! We all knew that if mom wasn't watching one of her children or grandchildren's activities, she could be found enjoying a little sun at a local beach!
Glenda is survived by her three children, Lisa (Rick) Krushen, Onna (Mike) Stoll, and Kirk (Nicki) Danielson. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Josh (Jodie), Marci (Ben), Jessie, Sammy (Dan), Kimmy, Kathy, Gage, and her three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Orville (Judy) McLean, Prince George, and her many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held 11:30 am, Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Vernon Funeral Home, 3007- 28 Street, Vernon, BC. A reception will follow at 1:00 PM at the Schubert Center 3505 30 Avenue, Vernon, BC.
In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Glenda may do so to KidSport or JumpStart.
