HARRY (EMMERSON) FARRER, born March 28, 1911, Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, died October 23, 2002, at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, aged 91 years. Harry grew up in Simpson, Sask. and homesteaded at Carrot River. During WWII, he served as a mechanic with the Calgary Tank Corp overseas. After his discharge Harry moved to Edgewood, BC, then in 1965 to Vernon. He had resided at Noric House since April 2000. Harry was a lifetime member of Legion Branch 203. Predeceased by wife Helen in May 1987, Harry is survived by: son Tom (Val) Farrer of Vernon; daughters Marg (Bob) Dunbar of Vernon, and Jean (Ken) Henczel of Armstrong; twin sister Margaret Puckett of Davidson, Saskatchewan; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. At Harry’s request, no formal service will be held. Cremation. Special thanks to Dr. Waldron and the staff at Noric House and Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
