Helmut Rath

March 3, 1940 - November 30, 2018
Helmut was born on March 3rd, 1940 in Dobrzykow, Poland and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 30th, 2018 in Kelowna, B.C. at the age of 78 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Carol, his children; Leanna (Richard) Kelly of Victoria, B.C. and Trevor (Pamela) Rath of Calgary, Alberta, his step-children; Clint (Kat) Hiles of Coquitlam, B.C. and Jill (Dave) Jewer of Sooke, B.C., his grandchildren; Brett and Taylor Kelly, Brendan and Mitchell Rath, Taylor Hiles, Andrea Isnardy and Madison Jewer, his sisters; Erna Geiger, Helga Ratz and Hilde (Carl) Franzen, his sister-in-law; Myrna Ratz along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Helmut was preceded in death by his brother; Walter Ratz and by his parents; Samuel and Alwina Ratz.

Cremation preceded a private family interment of Helmut's cremated remains in the Coldstream cemetery. A Celebration of Helmut's Life will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 7th, 2018 at 1 pm with Pastor Myron Crown officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room.
