We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved Isis Jesse Irene Hunter on October 16, 2016 at the young age of 40. Her faith in Jesus, and trust in his grace, carried her through ‘til the end. Isis will be forever remembered by her mother Georgena Traill, father Roger Hunter, sister Aleiya Gillis (Christian and son Zander), partner Christopher “Duffy” Lyons (dogs Haida and Keeper) and very close friends Judy Kemp (sons Kaleb and Issac) and Donna Drought. She will be lovingly remembered by her aunt Sandy Van Mol, cousins Lynette Bryan, Melanie Van Mol and Travis Van Mol, and by the numerous family and friends that were in her life. Predeceased by grandparents George and Doris Traill, Frank and Jesse Hunter, uncle Phil Van Nol, and family friend Nora Crossland, and Isis’ dog Arrow. Isis was also a member of the Vernon Church of Christ and survived by her loving church family. Isis grew up in White Rock, BC and spent her years between Vernon, Victoria, Vancouver and Haida Gwaii, BC.

Isis was an advocate of animals, stood up for people with quiet voices and was a volunteer for the food bank in Vancouver. She will be incredibly missed and will rest in peace.
