Jack (Jacob) Rempel passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2021 in Vernon, B.C. He was 89 years old.
He was deeply loved as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered as a kind, caring and patient man. He was a farmer at heart.
Prior to moving to Vernon, Jack lived many years in Squamish, B.C. as owner/operator of 'JR Transport'. On retirement, he relocated to the Okanagan and remained active with golfing, curling and gardening. He also kept very informed of current events.
Jack was born in 1931, in Foxwarren, Manitoba, to Johann and Aganetha Rempel, one of 7 sons and 5 daughters. He grew up in Arnold (Abbotsford), B.C. He is predeceased by his first wife, Gloria; and survived by his wife, Alene and children Tracy (Paul), Colin (Mary), Leonard (Tina), Lorne (Karen), Danny (Julie), seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed.
