It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John F. McLaughlin on Sunday the 28th of July after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Jack and Irene came to Vernon in 2003 to be closer to family. Jack is survived by his wife Irene and Children Deb (Rob Weins, Max, Luke, Austrailia), Dan (Maureen Sales, Tessa, Adam, Mara, Victoria BC), Anne (Fred Bonnell, Emily, James, Edmonton AB), Mark (Riley, Sterling, Vernon BC), Linda (Burke Martin, Jonathan, Benjamin, Courtenay BC) as well as sisters Ellen (Moncton NB) and Mary (Joe, Rexton NB). He is predeceased by his sister Maureen, his brothers Walter and Joseph and his daughter-in-law Janice Haycox.
There will be Vigil Prayers offered at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church at 7 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2019. The Funeral Mass will also be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church at 11 am on Friday, August 2, followed by a reception.
