February 6, 1937 - December 6, 2019
Jim was born in Vernon. He took great pride in his career with the Armed Forces as a Navigator. He traveled the world and loved to share his experiences but his greatest love was for family. Jim returned to Vernon when he retired and loved to ski and golf. In his last years, he struggled with health issues that made life a challenge but he retained his dry sense of humour.
On December 6, 2019 he passed peacefully surrounded by family. He is survived by the love of his life Sheila and his 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a man with a "Heart of Gold". The family will be having a private celebration of life as was his wish.
A very special thank you to all the team members at the Vernon Jubilee that treated him with such compassion and respect in his final days. We will forever be grateful.
Anyone wishing to do so is invited to make a contribution in Jim's memory to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Light a Bulb Foundation.
