It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joan Kramer at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on September 14th, 2019. Joan was predeceased by her husband Mike on September 14th, 2017. Joan is survived by her son Larry (Gail), daughter Wendy, Grandson Geoff (Chelsea), Great Granddaughters Georgia and Vivienne, Granddaughter Allison Miller (Michael), Great Grandson Hendrix and Great Granddaughter Abbott. Joan was born July 4th, 1930 in Ft. McMurray, Alberta. The family relocated to the Vernon area in the late 1940's. Predeceased by her father Alec and mother Alice, brother's John, Dale, Denny and Mike, and Sister's Cec and Pearl. Surviving Joan is her brother Ron Erichuk, Sisters Caroline Jones, Linda (Mike) Meek, Sandy (Warren) Banfield, Bonnie Erichuk, Kathy (Mel) Surgeson.
A special thanks to the nursing staff and Doctor's in Emergency and the 6th Floor at Vernon Jubilee Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Angali Vincent and Dr. Stephen Wright. Mom's stay was not that long at Creekside Landing Assisted Living but she was very happy and content and we thank the staff for their care and support.
In respecting Joan's wishes there will be no funeral. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.
