In Loving Memory ~

With great sadness we announce that our dad (Joe) died peacefully in his sleep in Vernon Jubliee Hospital on March 26th, 2024.

He is predeceased by his wife June of 63 years in 2021, his father Nickolas, mother Pauline (Pataskala Pearl) and his 8 siblings, Peter, Jim, Alex, Mike, Paul, Mary, Anne, and Polly.

Born in Enderby, Joe moved away at a young age where he met and married his wife in 1958. In his later years they moved back to the Okanagan and spent the rest of their years living in Vernon. He volunteered at the Vernon Viper games for many years and loved chatting with the players, staff and team scouts that came through the door.

He leaves behind 3 daughters, 2 sons and numerous grand and great grandchildren and will be missed greatly by his grandson Geoff who was there when he needed anything, and on occasion taken his grandpa out for lunch.

A special thanks to the staff a VJH who looked after him at the end of his life and a heartfelt thank you to the staff and care aides at the Hamlets for making his last year and a half special.

A burial will take place at the Grindrod Cemetery, June 8, 2024, about 10:30 am and a tea in Vernon at 1pm, email janetmanary@gmail.com for more information.
