John McArthur was born on July 9th, 1932 in Dixie, Ontario and passed away on November 29th, 2018 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 86 years.
John retired to Vernon in 1989 after 35 years of service with the RCMP. He enjoyed many years of spending time in the outdoors - hiking, cross country skiing, running and travelling.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley; three daughters; two granddaughters; one brother; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews. In respecting John's wishes, he was cremated and there will be no formal service held. Family will gather at a later date when John will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
