July 4, 1933 - November 12, 2018
We sadly announce the passing of husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather John Wiebe on November 12, 2018. John was born on July 4, 1933 to Johann and Anna Wiebe in Neuendorf, Ukraine. With his mother and two brothers, he immigrated through Germany to Canada in 1949, settling in Kelowna, BC.
With a strong work ethic, John had a successful career as a Chartered Accountant, serving on the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, as well as maintaining his own practice in Vernon.
John played an integral role in the development of Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club, serving on the Board of Directors from its inception to 2007. John was an active member in the community through local clubs and his participation in many sports including tennis, soccer and bowling.
John is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Valentina; his four children: Karen (Guy), Rick, Ramona (John) and Liza (Scott); 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; as well as his brother, Frank (Kathy) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, mother and brother, Henry.

The funeral service for John will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home at 1:00 pm.
