March 24, 1961 - January 6, 2019
Kathy was born on March 24th, 1961 in Innisfail, Alberta and passed away on January 6th, 2019 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 57 years.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ron of Cherryville, B.C.; three children, Chelsea (Gordon) Weist of Cherryville, B.C., Randi (Ryan) Wallace of North Battleford, Saskatchewan and Owen (Arianne) Wallace of Pemberton, B.C.; six grandchildren, Marrissa (Brandon), Braden, Haylee and Rori Bennett and their father, Tony Bennett and Dale and Teaghan Weist; her siblings, Jo-Anne (Ed) Watson of Lumby, B.C., Tom (Cathy) Sanborn of Vernon, B.C. and Jamey (Bree) Sanborn of Cherryville, B.C.; and numerous extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Dorothy Sanborn; one brother, Bob Sanborn; and one nephew, Brandon Sanborn.
Kathy was a great lover of the outdoors and animals, particularly horses and cattle. Her farm was her paradise on earth and one could always find her out tending her animals or working in her greenhouses and garden. Her garlic garden was second to none and she was known as the "Garlic Queen."
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Kathy's Life which will be held at the Cherryville Hall on Sunday, January 13th, 2019 at 3:00 pm.
As Kathy's family says, "Sad day for all. She was a hell of a woman. The things she could do and what she knew would put most men to shame!"
