With sadness, I am announcing the passing of my husband. We were very fortunate to celebrate our 50th anniversary in August. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and other staff on Floor Six for making the last two weeks of his life comfortable.
He always loved country dancing. You could find him on the dance floor at the Wildhorse Saloon or OK Corral. He was a loyal supporter of friends, even going to Las Vegas and Edmonton to support them competing at the international level. He enjoyed 14 years attending the Merritt Mountain Music Festival to see many top country artists. He always looked good in a western hat.
Larry loved his sports. He was passionate about hockey. He played recreational hockey in Prince Rupert, Enderby, and Whitevale. He was also a loyal fan of the Vernon Vipers, yelling in the "Q" section with all the other noisy crazy fans. He spent many years hunting and fishing with his friend, Craig. Great stories and always food in the freezer.
Golfing, skiing, fishing, hunting, crabbing, and camping —so many passions. His two children Kevin and Kristelle have inherited his love of the outdoors. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and mine. He will be sorely missed, so many great memories from the numerous family gatherings.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Paul and Sophie, and his brother Ken. He will be greatly missed by his wife Lorna, his two children Kevin and Kristelle and his two grandchildren Katelynn and Kilian. He will also be sadly missed by his siblings, Paulette (Mike), Pat (Carsten), Brian (Bev), and his sisters-in-laws Marion, Della, Fran, and Marilyn (Charlie). There are so many nieces, nephews, and their families that will hold fond memories of Larry /Uncle Larry.
