On July 8, 2021 Lieselotte Charlotte Siemens slipped free of earthly bonds to join her sisters, mother & father. Known to all simply as Lotte, she was endowed with a great sense of humour, strong work ethic and iron dedication to her family. Born 21 March 1929 to Ludwig & Elise Hörauf in Zweibrücken Germany, Lotte was the youngest of 5 sisters. Living through the 2nd World War as a young lady had a profound effect on her character, strengthening it as few other experiences are apt to do. As a single mother working hard to get by, she met the love of her life Henry working in the canteen on RCAF base 3 Wing Zweibrücken. Lotte & Henry were married in Gimli Manitoba, continuing the nomadic Air Force life until settling in Okanagan Falls on Henry's retirement from the Air Force in 1976.
