Lilian was deeply involved in the Girl Guide organization and created one of the only Lone Guide Groups in BC.
Lillian became a national trainer for the organization and also worked with the Red Cross and helped start up the street people's luncheon.
Lillian went on to help with the Special Olympics, volunteered at the hospital, and was a great asset to the Anglican Church.
She received Vernon's citizen of the year award in 2003.
For those of us who were privileged enough to share our lives with her, she will be missed.
