It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Lynda Simpson on March 25th, 2024, at the Vernon Hospice House after a brief illness.

Lynda was born in Victoria BC on May 11, 1947. She resided much of her life in the Vernon and Lumby area. Lynda worked for 10 years at Delview Hospital in Vernon as a Nurse's Assistant and then went on to work at the Vernon Forestry Research Station until her retirement.

Lynda was blessed to have travelled extensively throughout the world, gone on numerous cruises and spent a number of winters down South. Along with her husband Dave she shared a passion for salmon fishing. Lynda volunteered on the Queens Committee in Lumby as well as helping students in the 1 on 1 reading program at JW Inglis elementary school in Lumby.

Lynda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is predeceased by her parents Fraser and Georgina Lee of Vernon and brother Robert (Bob) Lee of Williams Lake. Lynda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dave Simpson of Vernon, her daughter Carrie-Lee and husband Ted Blaney of Lumby, her son Jason and wife Natalie Simpson of Lumby, grandchildren Taylor Lamb of Kelowna, Abby (Reed) Simpson of Vernon and Marissa and Colton Blaney of Lumby. She is also survived by her brothers Chuck (Robin) Lee of Slocan City and Willy Lee of Sicamous as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
