It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Lynda Rahn at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 68.
Lynda was born on March 24th 1952 to Otto and Elizabeth Kakoske in Vernon BC. Growing up she took pride in being a member of the Vernon girls trumpet band and toured with them across Europe.
Lynda was a compassionate, kind soul who's passion was caring for others. At 17 she began her career as a care aid at Dellview before moving to the Gateby where she loved working her nights. On her days off she loved tending to her rock and flower gardens, sharing her great sense of humour with many friends and grilling on the barbecue for her beloved family.
She cherished her daughters and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandma.
Lynda is predeceased by her brother Gerald and parents Otto & Elizabeth Kakoske. She is survived by her daughters Maria Rahn and Liz Shewchuk (Mark), grandsons Anthony and Austin, her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many other extended family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who have had the pleasure of knowing her.
At Lynda's request there will be no funeral service.
