Margaret Rose Pitman, (Peg) was born in Keyston, SK on March 16, 1923 and lived her early life in Moose Jaw, with her family and loving brother Roy. After her early years on the prairies Mom lived the rest of her life in Vernon. Peg leaves two sons Brian (Darla) of Vernon and Daniel of Penticton, Aunt Vi, Leah, Laurie and Judy and all the kids in Moose Jaw, Calgary and other locations. Peg was a loving, hard working Mom and spent her days caring for her two kids while working at BC Hydro.
Peg retired from BC Hydro and had the most wonderful retirement. Mom did the things she loved with
her loving friends and family, past and present, including Estelle, Rita, Lennie and a bevy of other women who chartered their own path to self fulfillment. Rita, thank you for always seeing and being with our Mom as her health declined. Thank you to those friends for being part of our Moms life and sporting activities. Peg was an active member of the BC Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years, loved being part of that organization and participated as a member and volunteer at the Schubert Centre. Mom was a sportswoman and especially loved the game of golf. She played the game until the age of 88, hit it down the middle and was a better putter than her kids. Our Mom always told it how it was from her world view. Special thanks to those who cared for our Mom.
Virginia C, Rose, Berna and all the support ladies and friends at Virginia's, the most loving and caring home. Thank you to Interior Health and the staff at Gateby Care Facility, 2nd Floor, who loved our Mom and gave her
the compassionate care she truly deserved. Peg's only sibling Roy passed away two days prior to Peg's passing; the family would like to extend their love to Roy's family during this time. Thank you to Rev. Dr. Teresa Charlton
for being there for our Mom during her last days to guide Mom's loving embrace with her family and her faith.
