Margaret Ruth (Korky) Grant (nee Kirkman) was born on October 15th, 1930 in Calgary, Alberta and passed away on July 20th, 2017 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 86 years.
Korky will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ruth, Donald (Sandra), Anne (Mike), Susan and Julia; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb & Ruth Kirkman; her husband, Jim Grant; granddaughter, Sarah Nichols; and two sons-in-law, Raymond Nichols and Mick LaGreca.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Korky’s Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 31st, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with a Reception following in the Bethel Tea Room. A Tea will also take place in memory of Korky in Chetwynd, B.C. at a later date.

Now that Korky has died, Halmark and Canada Post will no longer be able to stay in business. Her desire had always been to have six Toronto Maple Leaf hockey players be her pallbearers so they can “let her down” one final time!
