Pat was born in 1938 at North Vancouver, BC and passed away on December 4th, 2020 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 82 years.
Pat will always be loved by her husband of 62 years Mike, daughter Cheryl (Thomas), son James (Jami), three grandchildren: Teryn (Patrick), Mitchell (Kit), Jesse and one great grandchild Cooper. Pat was a wonderful sister- in-law and "Auntie Pat" to many of her extended family.
Pat was raised on the North Shore of Vancouver, fell in love with her soul mate Mike, married July 1958 at Capilano Gardens, then was swept off to the Okanagan Valley, making Armstrong home, where they raised their children.
Pat was a typist extraordinaire with amazing organizational skills which placed her as an office administrator at Armstrong Elementary, Len Wood Elementary and then the Armstrong Health Unit until retirement.
She was an active "Kinette" in the community and helped organized IPE parades. One of her favourite places to "kick back and relax" was at our cottage on Okanagan Lake. Pat and her sister-in-law "Betty" supported each other whilst their husbands laboured in town.
Here's to the pool parties at the Reay's, van trips with the Dodd's and Siemens, trips abroad with the Brown's, Fowler's and Gilchrist's. Our summers were especially idyllic, where many memories were made, never to be forgotten.
Remember, cherish, and tell stories about her. And to Jami, who gathered us together, for photo's family and food... thank you.
Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, there will be a gathering to celebrate Pat's life. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish, may send donations in memory of Pat to their charity of choice.
