Max Closson was born on July 15th, 1928 in Kenaston, Saskatchewan and was called Home to be with his Lord on October 13th, 2016 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 88 years. Max will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Irene, to whom he was married for 63 years, his children; Janet (Bruce) Townsend of Vernon, B.C. and Donald (Sherri) Closson of Victoria, B.C., his grandchildren; Jared (Kali) Townsend of Kamloops, B.C., Derek (Shelby Mack) Townsend of Vancouver, B.C., Marlee Closson of Victoria, B.C. and Elysia Nichols of Victoria, B.C., his great-grandchildren; Oliver and Aubrey Townsend of Calgary, AB and Ethan Nichols and Sawyer Glover of Victoria, B.C., his brother; Lloyd (Florence) Closson of Coutts, AB, his sister; Eleanor Kaneda of Vancouver, B.C. along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Max was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 2 sisters and by his parents; Robert and Nellie Closson.
Cremation preceded a Celebration of Max’s Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 20th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Craig Tufts officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room. Interment will take place at a later date.
