April 27, 1933 - May 31, 2018
With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother after a brief battle with cancer. She passed peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Thursday May 31 at Parkview Place in Enderby, BC.
She is survived by daughter Shelley Verlaan (Harry), sons Michael (Cheryl) and Patrick, grandchildren Michelle, Cherie, Zoe and Levi and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Beverly.
Maxine was a longtime resident of Kamloops and spent the last 20 years of her life in the Okanagan. She was born in Chilliwack and spent the first years of her life on Reserve #8 (Stout) before moving to the Blue River area. Later her family moved to Vancouver.
Maxine was a proud member of the Spuzzum Band, Nlaka'pamux Nation.
