On Wednesday, April 13th at 1:00am proud mother of two, Melissa Karoline Gobbett (33), passed away peacefully after a hard fought battle with brain cancer at the North Okanagan Hospice House in Vernon, B.C. Melissa is survived by her husband, Curtis Anthony Gobbett (32) and her two beautiful boys, Kaiden Anthony (6) and Carter Benjamin (3).
The daughter of both Leo Stocek and Della Starchuk was born in Salmon Arm and grew up in the Okanagan Valley. Melissa leaves behind four siblings: Kim, Lindsay, Lori and Trevor.
Melissa was best known for her contagious smile and her unwavering strength that inspired so many. Her boys were her life. Melissa will live on through them, our memories and, most importantly, our hearts.
