Merlin Wozniak passed away peacefully on January 21, 2020 in Vernon BC at the age of 91 years. Merlin was born on April 22, 1928 in Stojanow, Poland and arrived in Canada as an infant with his parents Antoni and Maria Wozniak - both of whom have predeceased him. Merlin farmed in the Peace River country in north-western Alberta for about 50 years and on selling the farm moved to Vernon, BC to enjoy his retirement. Merlin was a man of many interests and enjoyed nature, science, history, politics, and world affairs - among many other things. He continued to live a healthy, independent, and clear minded life to the very end. He never lost his sense of humour and those who knew him benefitted from and enjoyed his sharp wit. Merlin is survived by his sons Murray and Paul, his grandsons Foster and Julian, and his brothers Bill, Matt, Roman and Edward and his twin sister Cecile. The family has chosen to honour Merlin's request to not hold any funeral services. In keeping with Merlin's personal beliefs we would simply ask that those who knew Merlin pay their respects to him in such a manner as they deem fitting.
