We are sad to announce the passing of our mother, Morag Jean Ritchings at Noric House on February 26th, 2019.
Morag was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She married Gordon Ritchings on September 18th, 1942. They moved to Vernon in 1967 when Gordon bought Vernon Flower Shop. Morag was active in the Ladies Guild at Knox Presbyterian Church and also the B-P Guild for many years.
Morag is survived by her daughters, Sally Harrison and Susan (Roger) Fanshaw; four grandsons, Bradley (Neal) Hutton, Andrew (Kim) Hutton, Jock (Laura) Fanshaw and MacLean (Tina) Fanshaw; three great-grandchildren, Lisa and Ryan Fanshaw and Gordon Hutton; one sister, Joan Massaro and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Ritchings; her parents, Jock and Sarah MacLean; two sisters, Luella Luxton and Jessie Lozanski and one son-in-law, George Harrison.
Cremation preceded a Service Of Remembrance which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at 2 pm with Reverend Dr. Teresa Charlton officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room.
