Murray A. Bertrand

April 4, 1958 - June 23, 2021
In Loving Memory ~
It is with Broken hearts and much regret we announce the passing of a dearly cherished Son and much loved Brother.
It was while he was enjoying one of his favourite sports, on the slopes skiing, that he encountered a concussion, which resulted in complications.
After graduation his first experience was as a Security parks Ranger. Murray then enrolled in College for a degree in Forestry. However, when he moved here to the Okanagan, he realized it was much more fun to go hiking in the many solitary trails. Murray was a Joyful Spirit, he loved life and people.
His enthusiastic nature was such, that the day's were never long enough. He was always on the go.
He leaves behind a Broken hearted mother, three sad sisters, three dedicated brothers in law. Aunties, uncles, cousins, and one daughter.
Most of Murray's enjoyment was being in nature. Golfing, hiking, skiing, fishing, camping. His favourite music was Country and Jazz.
With his curiosity, and liking to Explore, his adventures took him to different countries. Jamaica, Hawaii, Arizona, Mexico, Honduras, Germany. Where he enjoyed their culture, food, and history, plus scuba diving and snorkling.
With his cheerful disposition, he made many friends along the way.
His next booking was already made for a trip which he was looking forward to the Galapagos Islands where he could swim with the Sea Lions. It was hindered, with disappointment by the Covid issue.
He was always a very kind and generous soul who gave of himself to all he met.
Murray always said he had a good life. He lived his dream.
His loving family and friends will hold memories of him close to their hearts forever.

Forget that I ever frowned.
Remember only my smile.
We will miss you for the rest of our lives.
