June 28, 1947 - March 19, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Zubot on March 19th, 2019 in the North Okanagan Hospice at the age of 71 years.

Rick was born in Leader, Saskatchewan on June 28th, 1947 but grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He later moved to Leduc where he was employed in the banking profession. From there he headed to Yellowknife, NWT where he worked for the Government until finally moving to Vernon to join the family owned business, Big O Tires. Rick loved to travel and took a trip across Canada and also parts of the USA. He loved sports and excelled at them, winning many trophies and awards. Rick was a wonderful man to know and would always help anyone in need. He had a great sense of humour, loved to joke and make people smile. Rick indeed will be missed by all who knew him.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; his mother, Anne; and two brothers, Ernie and Allan. He is survived by his one remaining brother, Donny; his sister-in-law, Margaret; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

In respecting Rick's wishes, he was cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
