July 29, 1941 - October 21, 2018
Ron passed away peacefully with his 4 children by his side. He was born in Vancouver and raised in Websters Corners, the oldest of 6 children. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Dorothy Barker. He is survived by his partner Brenda Quesnel, his sons Michael Barker (Amanda) and Jim Barker (Linda), his daughters Colleen Barker-Greer (Tim) and Jayci Barker (Michael), sisters Elsie (John) Genereux, Ilene (Dave) Hoyrup, Thelma (Ron) Materi, Joyce Barker (Jim Boutilier) and his brother Bill (Shirley) Barker along with many loving grandchildren Katie (Doug), Owen, Hallie, Mitchell, Matthew, Ryder, Hope and Mackayla. Ron was also loved by many nieces, nephews and extended family which included Mitchell, Michael, Michelle.
Ron was a loving father, grandfather and friend to everyone.
He worked extremely hard his entire life and loved his old cars, trucks and his animals. He had such charm, charisma and a great sense of humour. He will be missed by everyone.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday November 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at The Odd Fellows Hall, 3005 Wood Ave., Armstrong BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC, 4 - 1551 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna BC, V1Y 9M9.
