In loving memory ~
She will be missed but will always be a loving, caring memory to the relatives and friends that she met in her 102 year journey
Rosalie Emily Worbets passed away peacefully and is with the love of her life, William T. (predeceased 2003).
Rosalie's life was well-lived, filled with the love of family and friends. She was the last sibling of the Werenka family who homesteaded in Wahstao, Alberta in 1896. She married William T. Worbets in 1941 and followed him in his army travels until settling in Lamont, Alberta to raise their family.
The family moved to Edmonton, where Bill furthered his education and began working for the Department of Education. Upon retirement, they moved to Barbados for a Caribbean education project. They then wintered in Edmonton and summered in the Okanagan where Rosalie moved to in 2011.
She always cherished her roots and travelled to the Western Ukraine several times to find her mother's family and to build and dedicate a park "Isvere" in the community of Kyseliv.
Throughout her full life, she was always inquisitive and adventuresome, active in the community and always surrounded by those she loved. She was born into a family of 13 siblings. Rosalie and William T. were blessed with 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Rosalie enjoyed the last years of her life in a place she loved - the Okanagan.
Her legacy will live on through her loving family...
Robert (Beverly) Comox, Doug (Iris) Lake Country, Barry (Marnie) Calgary,
Loriann (Ray) Hupfer Lake Country, Terry (Donna) Vernon.
Grandchildren - Jason (Heather), Jon (Beth), Nathan (Alana), Lesley (Brett), Dana (Reka), Kerry, David (Lindsay), Darren (Candace), Derek (Kristen), Katya (Dan) and Jaclyn (Bryce).

The family would like to thank Delene, the staff and friends at Canterbury Court for their kindness during her 12 years in Vernon. Thank you to Dr. C. Pienaar and the Community Health teams in Vernon for their outstanding care.
There will be a family Celebration of Rosalie's Life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation would be greatly appreciated to one of her favourite charities:
