Ruth Hay was born on September 7th, 1926 in Chelmsford, Essex, England and passed away on December 20th, 2017 in The Hamlets at Vernon, having reached the age of 91 years.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Tony); her son, Barry (Carolyn); two grandsons, Craig and Scott; and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill on November 17th, 2015 and all of her siblings.
Ruth and Bill came to Canada in 1987 and enjoyed many happy years exploring B.C. and their winter trips to Arizona. Ruth's favourite pastime was playing Bingo and spending time at the Casino.
We, Ruth's family, would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Screen, who attended to her medical needs with such kindness and care over the years and also to the care-givers at Carrington Place and The Hamlets at Vernon where Ruth had resided prior to her death. We deeply appreciate all you did for Ruth in providing her with such love and comfort in her latter years.
In respecting Ruth's wishes, she was cremated and there will be no Funeral Service held.
Now that Ruth has gone on ahead of us we hope that she enjoys her new life at the big Casino in the sky where she has finally won the jackpot!
