Ruth Helen Davis, nee Hamm, born near Rosthern, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully in hospice on October 3rd, 2021, a few weeks shy of her 88th birthday. She is survived by the love of her life, and the love of his life, husband Ken Davis.
She is affectionately remembered by her four children, JoAnne, Doug (Linda), Candis and Dean (Radhika), Ken's daughter Tracy and her surviving brother Allan (Mary Ann), and sister Audrey. She will be especially missed by her nieces, Jen, Lindsay and Karen, and her nephews Duane and David. She was predeceased by her first husband Ted Quiring, brothers Jake and Abe (Brenda) and sister Irene. She will be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren Jeff (Gail), Heather (James), Sumitra and Meenakshi and five great grandchildren: Caitlin, Carter, Rachel, Grant and Zoee and special friends Elaine, Frieda and Helen.
Ruth loved to dance! Her appreciation of music and harmonies blossomed in her high school years where she was part of trio that sang live on the radio. She was very resourceful and was known for her excellent seamstress skills and culinary abilities.
The family would like to thank the amazing and comforting staff at the North Okanagan Hospice in Vernon for their care of Ruth during her last two weeks. Please consider a donation to your local hospice in lieu of flowers. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
