MRS. SHARON FIONA YANO (nee COOKE) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 13th, 2002 at the age of 37 years, with her family and friends by her side. She was taken from us far too soon after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Life will never be the same without her. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dennis, her children; Thomas, Michael, Melissa and Rebecca, all of Coldstream, B.C., her parents, Ian & Christina Cooke of Aldergrove, B.C., her brother and sister-in-law, Clive & Angela Cooke of Chilliwack, B.C., two nieces, Holly and Alicia and many extended family members. Sharon was born in Frimley, Surrey, England and came to Canada at an early age with her family. They lived in Paris, Ontario and then moved to Langley, B.C., where Sharon received her education. She came to Vernon ten years ago. Her whole life was given to caring for her family. She was a dedicated, loving mother to her children. A Service giving tribute to Sharon’s life will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. Cremation will follow. A Reception will take place in the Tea Room at Bethel Funeral Chapel at the conclusion of the Service.
