Shirley Mae Godbehere (Weber) was born on June 15, 1926 in Portage la Prairie, MB and passed away on November 17, 2018 at Monashee Mews in Lumby, BC at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband Dick in 2011 as well as by her parents Norman and Gladys, sister Wilda (Len)CronmillerandherbrotherTom. Shirleywillbelovinglyremembered by her sister-in-law Hilda (Tom) Weber, nephew Bryan (Carol) Weber and nieces Diana (Don) Johnston and Donna Cronmiller, all of Winnipeg, Pamela (Robert) Caswill of Nova Scotia and Wendy (Michael) Cull of The Pas, and Dick's children Claudia (Robert) Rivard of Surrey, BC, Bruce (Ruth) Godbehere of Comox, BC and Susan (Peter) Strack of Victoria, BC.
Shirley and Dick were married in Winnipeg in 1972 and eventually relocated to Montreal, where Shirley taught at McGill University, and finally chose to retire to Vernon BC. It was clear that Dick and Shirley were soul mates, equally sharing a passion for golf, road trips in their fifth- wheel, and many, many junkets to casinos along the way.
