It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Shirley Marie Warnes announce her sudden and unexpected passing on October 19th, 2021, at the age of 69 years. Shirley was born in Vancouver, B.C. on August 23rd, 1952, to James and Dorothy Lawson.
Shirley is survived by the love of her life, Terry; her children, Mel (Jenn), Sean (Andrea), Donovan (Andie) and Rebecca (Cass); seven grandchildren, Ethan, Roman, Myla, Lennon, Gracie, Charlie and Matteo; two brothers, Rick and Dave Lawson; and numerous nieces, nephews and brother/sister-in-laws. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Dorothy Lawson and her twin sister, Sharon Mangham.
Shirley selflessly devoted her life to caring for her four children (and in later years, grandchildren) with her husband Terry, in the home they built together in 1980. She was always an active member of the Lumby community and could often be found in the gym at Charles Bloom or at the Whitevalley Community Centre.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at a later date.
