With great sadness we announce the passing of Shirley May Stecyk (nee Morgan) on April 14th, 2020 at the age of 90 years.
Shirley was born in Vernon, B.C. on October 23rd, 1929 and was a true Vernon girl having lived her entire life in and around Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gladys Morgan; one brother, Art; and one sister, Dorothy.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Tom, to whom she was married for 68 years; four children, Tom (Joyce), Jim (Helen), Lorne (Sandi) and Terry; four grandchildren, Angela (Jesse), Kevin, Janna and Patrick; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Isaac and Elodie; one brother, Ron (Vi); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In respecting Shirley's wishes, she was cremated and there will be no service held, but there will be a family gathering to remember Shirley when we are all able to get together again.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Shirley to the charity of their choice.
