Shirley Olive Reiser passed away suddenly on June 21, 2019 at the age of 84 years.
Shirley was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan on April 21, 1935. Her family moved to Vernon, BC when she was a young girl. Throughout her life she lived in Penticton, Kamloops, and Vancouver before retiring in South Surrey, BC.
Shirley worked at the original Woodwards store in downtown Vancouver for 25 years. She is a breast cancer survivor and was an active member of the Surrey, White Rock Womens Probus Group and the Breast Cancer Support Society.
She loved her garden, travel, flowers, cats, long walks, and of course her family and friends.
Shirley was pre-deceased by her husband Fred and her two brothers, Harold and Lorne Schroeder. She is survived by 11 brothers and sisters, her children Linda, Don (Cecilia) and Sandra (Bob Kuzyk) grandchildren Sean (Jennifer), Jeff (Mary Beth) and Ty Kuzyk and Great-Grandchildren Makena, Taylor and Jordan Kuzyk and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley requested no service but instead asks everyone to share a smile.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Peace Arch Hospital Foundation are welcomed.
She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
