Susan Mary McHugh passed away peacefully on Sunday September 1 2019 due to a short battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her soul mate Doug McFarlane, Parents William and Pearl Mc Hugh, Brother Danny McHugh. Leaves behind her daughter Tabatha Mc Farlane and her son in law Andrew Watson and a very beautiful granddaughter Lilianna, Brothers Alan and James. Sue grew up in Enderby and Vernon meeting her best friend Leona in Enderby then meeting her soul mate Doug in Vernon. Sue worked her whole life, very hard worker and patient with the many customers she dealt with daily. She worked at many restaurants Canton Inn, Waddys, Hong Kong Village, Kiki Gardens, she also did many years janitorial work at the Kal Sports Bar when the Wonderful Gerry O owned it then her last 11 years were spent at Silver Springs retirement residence where she couldn't get enough of her seniors. She loved making cookies and making residents feel loved when she was working. My mother was very kind and loving and very strong. Sue was Independent and loved her family and friends. She loved her 3 Valley Gap trips in the summer and her many trips to the beach and hiking almost every day. She found peace and happiness outside in her garden and just in nature all together.
Funeral service will be held on Friday October 25 at 1pm at the Pleasant Valley Funeral home with tea service to follow. Please if you can't make it or want to donate, just on behalf of Sue's extreme kindness do an act of Kindness the smaller the better and try to do it everyday!!
