Sylvia "Rose" Nicholls

With sadness, we announce that the inspiration and love of our lives passed away seven days prior to her 95th birthday.
Rose passed peacefully at the Hamlets in Vernon, BC.
Commonly known as Mom, GG, Gramma Rose, and Auntie Rose, she is survived by daughter Sharon (Jim), granddaughter, Nicole (Steve), grandsons Chad (Nikki), Kurtis (Amanda), Adam, Robyn (Sheena), step grandsons Darren, Preston, and Jason, 19 grandchildren, sister Charlotte (Bill), sister-in-law Joan, nieces and nephews and special friend Paul.
Born July 16, 1927 at DeLisle Sask. Rose was raised on the . family farm in Love, Sask where she also married Gordon. They had two children, Donald and Sharon.
They moved to B.C in 1955. Their home had an open door for coffee, food and a bed if needed. Rose worked in logging camps with husband Gordon.
In 1971 she and her sister had Gramma's Inn restaurant until retirement in 1989. She was an amazing cook and baker.
Rose loved painting, quilting and knitting. She was very musical and played piano, banjo and guitar. Rose and siblings, niece and nephew loved regular jam sessions. Rose lived her life for her family and spoiled her grandkids.
We will miss you Mom. Grama, you will be in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm, Friday August 12th, at the Bethel Funeral Chapel, Vernon, BC.
