Vern Healey, a long time resident of Vernon, passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 81 years after a long battle with COPD.
He is survived by his wife Carol; son, Jim (Tara); daughter, Joyce (Dan) Shetterly and their son, Jonah; his sister, Carol Brost; several nieces, one nephew; and brother-in-law, Stan Stefanik (Cathy).
Vern enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening as well as playing crib and card games with his family and friends. In respecting Vern's wishes, he was cremated and there will be no service held.
