March 20, 1959 - April 16, 2019
Wayne's family is saddened to announce that he passed away suddenly, but peacefully, in his sleep.

Wayne was born and raised in Vernon. He enjoyed hockey and spent his youth tending goal in the Vernon Minor Hockey League. He graduated from Vernon Senior Secondary School in 1977. Wayne owned cabins on Kalamalka and Bouleau Lakes and spent many happy hours water skiing and fishing there and on Sugar Lake. He always looked forward to an almost annual sturgeon fishing trip. He was an avid sledder, enjoying the beauty of the Okanagan Valley.

Wayne loved to travel and visited many countries, always enjoying that winter holiday in the sun.

He is survived by his partner Paula Talbot, step daughters Rebbecca (Kyle), Alexandra (Michel) and their children Leighton, Lillian, Michelyn and Macyn who brought him immense joy, his mother Margret, sisters Kim and Lynn Floyd (Neil), aunts Eileen Burgess (Jim) and Ardyth Speers and numerous cousins.

He will be fondly remembered by Sandi Slizak and Myles Johnson.

He was pre-deceased by his father Joe in 1990 and his brother-in-law Brian Nixon in 1986.

Wayne will be missed for his enthusiasm and great sense of humour. There will be no formal service at his request.
