With sadness we announce the passing of William Bertrand (Bill) Cunning of Vernon, BC on January 6th, 2018 at the North Okanagan Hospice Society house.
Bill was born in 1928 in Regina, SK. After meeting the love of his life, Joan Eleanor Wyatt, the couple went around together for four years and four months before they got married and moved to Vernon. He was most sadly pre-deceased by Joan in 2011, his wife of 61 years as well as their daughter Linda in 2009.
He is survived by his son Howard Cunning; his five wonderful grandsons Christopher Cunning, David Manning, Rob Manning, David Cunning, and Robbie Cunning; and his two beautiful great-grandchildren Kate Cunning and Quinn Cunning.
Cremation has been entrusted to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. When the weather is much nicer, we want to have a get together for friends and family to reminisce about the good old days.
All of Bill and Joan's friends and relatives need to know that they were cherished and that they have been a big part in us kids living the good life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations could be sent to the North Okanagan Hospice Society or a favorite charity.
Bill's family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff and volunteers at the Hospice House who looked after Bill with dignity, love and respect. You are all amazing.
