In Loving Memory of William "Bill" David Turner who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love on January 30, 2019. Bill was a gentle man of integrity, kindness and humility.
He wore many hats over the years including teacher, artist, woodworker, builder, farmer, tool man, handyman, husband, father, grandfather, friend and fighter. He went toe-to-toe with multiple rounds of cancer spanning 25 years. For this, he achieved the status of local legend and brought hope and inspiration to many others who were also battling. His lasting legacy however, is one of love. In a world he thought was going a little crazy, his cure was always to slow it down, and keep it simple. He will be deeply missed by so many.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary; sons Beau (Tammie); Travis (Stephanie); daughter Meredith; grandchildren Ryder, Walter, Henry, Gracie and Clay.
There will be a prayers at Our Lady of the Valley on Friday, Feb 8, 2019 at 7pm, Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday February 9, 2019 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Coldstream. Reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers Bill's wishes were that donations would be made to BC Guide Dogs Services.
