1928 - 2016
William Dickson, beloved husband of Mary (Liz) passed away suddenly and peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Born in Bassano, AB and lived in Alberta all his life until retirement and then retired in Vernon. William met the love of his life Mary Makarenko and they were married November 7, 1959. William was a wonderful caring husband, brother, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, and friend, he was loved by all who knew him.
William will be remembered and missed by his bereaved wife Mary; sister Pat Froslev; sister-in-law Anne Angell (Noel), Stacey, Greg and Bently Krahn, Jacky, Barry, Chad, and Jen Bignold. William will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nephews. Bill was very grateful to Jacky and Barry Bignold, Stacy and Chad, and Bently for everything they did for him and Jacky was there and held his hand till he took his last breath. He was surrounded by family.
William was predeceased by his mom and dad; brothers: Donny, Bob; sisters: Jean, Judy, and Kay.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses of 02 West as well as all their neighbours and friends. Above all, I thank God for his sustaining love and for the wonderful gift of Bill’s life.
