The Suzuki Foundation has taken the first step to change this situation in Canada by taking action with the Blue Dot Movement, which gives citizens the inherent right to a healthy environment — clean water, fresh air and healthy food.
Here in the North Okanagan, the Sustainable Environment Network Society is working on bringing our communities into the Blue Dot Movement. We already have 407 people signed up in our community and there are 95,383 Canadians signed up.
The North Okanagan's largest attraction is its healthy lifestyle and the Blue Dot Movement is a tool to help communities enjoy this healthy lifestyle with the right to fresh water, clean air and healthy food.
