I would like to comment on the federal budget just brought down. They've eliminated a number of credits like children's fitness, arts, for education and text books.
I may not necessarily need those credits but there are many who do.
Income splitting for families with children under 18 years of age. Gone. I appreciated that one.
They say that the small business tax rate is going to remain at 10.5 per cent but have no visible plan in place for further reductions or what it's going to look like over the next few years.
We run a small family business. Incorporated. Not easy to stay competitive in today's market.
The Liberals were being honest when they said they would run a deficit. Ten million dollars they said.
Now it's projected at just shy of $30 million.
Well, the Canadian taxpayers wanted change. Didn't care what they got as long as it wasn't Stephen Harper.
There was so much hate (yes, it's a strong word) and animosity towards a man that people voted with clouded vision. Or so I believe.
To those who voted for Justin Trudeau: many of you voted for a man and not a party. Well you got what you asked for.
Sad I say.
But that can be changed in 2019.
