I have to shake my head in disbelief at what I have read recently.
Our mayor, our MLA, and now the businesses near Stickle Road have capitulated to some bureaucrats who are threatening to withdraw funding if they don't get their way.
It seems like a case of the tail wagging the dog.
For these people to back a proposal that is clearly against the wishes of the constituents and contrary to logic is shameful.
The bureaucrats should be fired and the politicians should resign for backing something distasteful only because it seems inevitable.
Do we now allow those we have elected to serve us to dictate to us on matters where it seems clear that it should be the other way?
