Competition began in 15 sports at the Greater Vernon 2022 B.C. Winter Games Friday, March 24.
Artistic gymnastics drew a capacity crowd in the Priest Valley Gym; parents, relatives, friends and spectators crammed into the limited viewing space at the neighbouring Priest Valley Arena to catch figure skating action on opening day.
And the upstairs lounges at the Vernon Curling and Athletic Club and Kelowna Badminton Club had good crowds on hand for the day’s action in male and female curling and badminton.
All 15 sports are back in action Saturday, March 25, with a number of sporting holding medal presentations and finishing Saturday.
