Cooperative weather over the last few days means night operations will resume at Apex Mountain this weekend.

Thanks to more than 20 centimetres of snow, the hill’s T-bar and Magic Carpet will be open on Friday and Saturday, from 4 to 9 p.m., with night skiing and tubing.

The Adventure Skate Loop will also re-open, the resort said on social media. It will stay open until 10 p.m. this weekend.

Apex was forced to cancel night operations last weekend (Feb. 2 to 3), due to weather. This isn’t the first time this season that the resort has modified its schedule because of poor conditions.

While extreme cold temporarily closed the mountain temporarily in early January, mild temperatures have posed challenges to many of the resort’s services in more recent weeks.

“Winter has returned and these really were the days we were waiting for,” Apex said on social media.
